HOW MUCH DOES A STUDENT PAY FOR ACCELERATED CAREER?

A student can graduate debt-free with these postsecondary credentials. Starting salaries in high-demand fields range from $30,000 to $50,000.

  • There are multiple ways to pay for an Accelerated Career program at the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG), including:
  • Accelerated Career Education (ACE) Grant ProgramThis program provides financial assistance to Georgia high school students who are enrolled in the Accelerated Career Diploma (ACD) program. The ACE Grant covers tuition, mandatory fees, and required books for up to 15 semester hours per term. The award amount is based on the number of credit hours a student is enrolled in.
  • Dual Enrollment fundingThis funding can help students pay for college courses. Students who use Dual Enrollment funding often pay nothing for their college courses.
  • HOPE Grant and HOPE Career Grant. These grants can help students pay for tuition in some programs. To be eligible for the HOPE Career Grant, students must first qualify for and be receiving the HOPE Grant.

WHY IS ACCERATED CAREER IMPORTANT TO GEORGIA?

Nationwide, 70% of the workforce is comprised of allied health or technician professionals.

In Georgia, over 50,000 job openings go unfilled each year for workers with postsecondary credentials that an Accelerated Career high school student can earn (associate degree, technical college diploma or technical certificates).

ACCELERATED CARRER for Success in the New Economy

Students who choose to use dual enrollment to get post-secondary credentials in a high yield of study will be well prepared in the new economy.
